Many of our customers warm up to one particular configuration of their spray gun, and stay with it indefinitely. This is a mixed blessing. on the positive side, the sprayer becomes very used to his gun and it always feels and works the same. The bad news is that your productivity may be improved if you reconfigure the gun for different applications. Here are a few observations from the field:
Sprayers use too small mixing chambers such as the AR4242 for the Fusion Air Purge or 23960-01 for the Probler P2. These may work well if you’re spraying stud cavities but you once get in the attic, you should use one size up like the AR5252 or 23960-02. The “trigger open” time is cut by 1/3.
Other options include specialty tips If you need to spray the underside of a high attic, there is a perfect solution: jet stream nozzles allow spraying 20 to 30 feet high into the air. No scaffold or ladder needed! Two little disadvantages come with that: the pattern does not look great (to put it mildly) and there is tremendous overspray. Nonetheless, there are jobs where this is the best option available.
