This is the winner - a very balanced
combination of performance, features, ease of use and latest technology.
This was the consensus among most of CPI's Foam Fest '07 attendees where
this system was first unveiled in the northern United States in May
2007.
For starters, this machine features
the same Gusmer hydraulic pump technology proven over decades with a few
important changes: the pumps have 18 fewer parts each, and they are the
same for both the A and B side. The redesigned seals will outlast the
old style seals at least 10 times.
The hydraulic system has been further
advanced including radiator, auto-shut off, reduced fluid needs, and
more.
The electronics have progressed
further. As an example, the controller boards for the primary heaters
and the hose are the same reducing spare parts inventory. The boards are
now closed boxes which can be handled by anyone. A simple green light
indicates perfect working order.
The diagnostics have been further
enhanced allowing the user to see internal component temperature,
component power draw, life-time cycle count, and further advanced
diagnostics. These features may sound intimidating; however, they a
well-documented fast tracks to solving problems should they arise.
Just like the H-25, the H-40 includes
incoming pressure and temperature for the feed lines for quick
trouble-shooting of off-ratio conditions.

- The chart on the right shows how each of the
selected Graco systems maintains pressure using various mixing
chamber sizes.
- The interesting fact is that the H-40 maintains
about 1600+ psi even when spraying at a rate of about 42 lbs. per minute.
- The lower chart shows how the H-XP3
maintains very high output even high output of around 2.5 gpm!
